Who it's for

Dogs of every size. [Age guidance to be confirmed]

Some dogs need ear care more often than others. If your dog has floppy ears or swims a lot, ask your vet how often to check and clean their ears.

How you'll use it

We'll add directions here once we've picked a format. [Directions to be confirmed]

Whatever the format, ear care goes better when your dog is calm. Pick a quiet time, have treats ready and keep the first few sessions short.

If your dog pulls away, stop and try again later. Making it a good experience now makes it easier every time after.

How to check and clean your dog's ears

Here's how ear care usually goes with a liquid ear cleaner made for dogs. Always follow the directions on the product you use.

  1. Look first. Lift the ear flap and check inside. Get to know what normal looks and smells like for your dog.
  2. If something looks or smells different from usual, stop and see your vet before cleaning.
  3. Squeeze the cleaner into the ear as the label directs.
  4. Gently massage the base of the ear so the cleaner works its way in.
  5. Step back and let your dog shake their head.
  6. Wipe the outer ear with a cotton ball or gauze. Don't push anything into the ear canal, and skip cotton swabs.
  7. Finish with a treat and some praise.
